Hands-on learning is an essential element of a Montessori education. Experience Weeks provide a time and place for students to research questions, think critically, communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and master core academic content.

By moving beyond the walls of the classroom to local institutions and landscapes of the North Shore students gain new, more in-depth ways to investigate, understand and learn.

 

The six experience weeks are open to all Harborlight students currently in grades 1 through 8 and to students enrolled in grades 1 through 8 from neighboring public, private, and home schools. The weeks coincide with public and private school academic calendars for 'vacation weeks' and offer immersive, full-day, educational experiences.
