About Us

Over the course of its almost 50 years, Harborlight has grown a great deal, what remains, however, is its sense of community. Quite often when a family comes to visit or tour campus they remark on how it feels like home.

Faculty and Staff

With more than 60 full and/or part-time staff, adjunct faculty and interns from a wide variety of backgrounds and specialties, one of Harborlight’s strengths is definitely represented in its team. Each of Harborlight’s classrooms has at least one, and quite often two or three, Montessori credentialed staff. Harborlight is also home to Montessori Institute – New England and often the adult learners will complete internships on site. Likewise, Harborlight is often fortunate to welcome interns from Endicott College each year.

Board of Trustees

The relationship between a Board of Trustees and an independent school is vital. The Board supports the Harborlight Montessori mission and acts strategically to protect the long-term best interests of the school and its students.

Our graduates possess intellectual capacity, self-knowledge, and good character to be difference-makers in our ever-changing world. Parent Association

The Parent Association in any independent school provides an essential service to the school leadership and the school community. Every parent is a member of the Harborlight  Parents’ Association (HPA).

HPA organizes family-friendly events, supports the School events calendar, provides classroom level support for students and parents, welcomes new families, and informs parents about the School’s unique philosophy and programs. Volunteerism is an integral part of building a successful school community and we welcome you to become involved in a variety of ways.
