Board of Trustees
The relationship between a Board of Trustees and an independent school is vital. The Board supports the Harborlight Montessori mission and acts strategically to protect the long-term best interests of the school and its students.
The association that coordinates communications, events, and relationships between home and school in any independent school provides an essential service to the school leadership and the school community. Every parent is a member of the Harborlight Parents’ Association (HFA).
HFA organizes family-friendly events, supports the School events calendar, provides classroom level support for students and parents, welcomes new families, and informs parents about the School’s unique philosophy and programs. Volunteerism is an integral part of building a successful school community and we welcome you to become involved in a variety of ways.
Our graduates possess intellectual capacity, self-knowledge, and good character to be difference-makers in our ever-changing world. The student journey begins with a toddler’s first experience with independence and ends with an Upper School student who has fully engaged in the education process, is inquisitive, responsible, and compassionate. Harborlight alumni know themselves and are ready to engage the world.
