Eileen Caruso, a member of the Harborlight community since 2017, has two wonderful daughters, Rose (’29) and Josephine (’35). Professionally, Eileen is a Managing Director of Programs at Education Development Center, overseeing a portfolio of domestic and international initiatives. As a member of the Harborlight Board of Trustees, she contributes her expertise in nonprofit management and fiscal operations and brings strategic business experience in support of sustainability planning, business development, networking, and quality improvement. She holds an M.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Brandi has been a member of the Harborlight Community since 2018. She is the mother of Nevaeh ’28. She has served at Endicott College since 2008 in various student-facing roles. She is currently the Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, as well as an adjunct lecturer in Endicott’s MBA program. She holds a Master of Education from Lesley University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Her career also includes roles at Regis College, Brookline Public Schools, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Boston Public Schools, and Citizen Schools. A proud AmeriCorps alum, Johnson was recognized by Citizen Schools as one of 20 Outstanding AmeriCorps Alumni and is a graduate of the 2024 North Shore LEADS Fellowship. In addition to her work with Harborlight, she serves on the boards of Landmark School and Pathways for Children and is an active member of Beverly 400+.
Kevin is a Principal and senior member of the research division of Mercer Investment Investments, LLC. With over 20 years of investment experience, Kevin performs due diligence on Emerging Markets and Global/International Small Cap equity strategies for client portfolios across the globe. In addition to his primary research coverage, Kevin co-leads the oversight functions for the Emerging Markets and Global/International Small Cap equity universes. Before joining Mercer, Kevin worked as a research analyst at Fidelity Investments and Strategic Advisers, Inc., where he covered U.S. Micro, Small, and SMID-cap core managers. Prior to Fidelity, Kevin was an investment associate at Putnam Investments as a generalist equity research analyst for Putnam’s domestic value mutual funds. Before embarking on his investment career, Kevin served for eight years as an Officer and Navigator in the United States Air Force. Kevin holds an MBA from the University of Oklahoma and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Dean serves as Senior Director of Brand Communications at Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, partnering with staff and youth to share stories of academic success, health and wellness, and workforce readiness. He has nearly thirty years of experience developing clear, compelling narratives across television, digital, print, and social, including work as a journalist, educator, and producer. Previously, he was Executive Director of Content and Marketing at St. George’s University. A graduate of St. John’s Preparatory School, he earned a BA in Communications with a minor in Secondary Education from Stonehill College and resides in Hamilton, MA, as a dedicated husband and father of three.
Amie most recently worked at PMG as a Managing Director, Client Strategy, where she oversees client-facing teams and drives account plans and relationships for PMG’s clients, while also serving as an advisor, coach, and mentor to digital marketing professionals on the team. Amie is the mother of two amazing daughters, Lana and Alexandra, who have both attended Harborlight. A former Division 1 field hockey player and strong DEIB advocate, Amie earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Providence College.
Kevin Carr (P '31) serves as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at Crane NXT an industrial technology company that provides security, detection, and authentication solutions to secure physical assets and enable secure transactions. Kevin has a J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law, an M.B.A. from Northeastern University, and a B.A from Saint Anselm College. Kevin has extensive expertise in corporate governance, M&A, compliance, and strategic legal leadership for global organizations. Kevin is the father of Lucy (10) and Charlotte (8) and resides in Beverly, MA.
Via works as an Inclusion Strategy Consultant at Global View Communications (GVC) where she supports clients in developing inclusive strategies that foster belonging and drive tangible business outcomes. Via has completed both her MBA in Leadership from Bentley University and her Master of Arts in Corporate Diversity from Tufts University. Prior to working at GVC, Via worked on global, cross-functional teams across a variety of HR functions, including employee experience and compensation. Via has researched and published theses on gender disparities in STEM, as well as the impact of Generation Z on workplace culture, business outcomes, and hiring/recruitment. Via has given a TedX talk on her publications and has won several awards for her leadership and DE&I work. Although Via is from the Northshore, she currently resides in San Francisco.
Susan is a Montessorian who began her career at Harborlight Montessori as an educator (‘86-’97) and teacher trainer for the Montessori Institute-New England (MI-NE). She has two adult daughters who carry precious memories of their time as students at HMS. She has served as a tenured associate professor at Rhode Island College and has led several large-scale literacy projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Susan holds a Ph.D. in Education, has co-chaired the American Montessori Society’s (AMS) Research Committee, and was a recipient of the AMS 2025 Impact Award. To raise awareness of the Montessori pedagogy within the wider education community, she has co-authored three books focused on Montessori education: Implementing the Montessori Method: Learner-Centered Education from Birth through Adolescence (2026), Effective Literacy Assessment in the Montessori Classroom: Using Data to Inform Instruction (2025), and Powerful Literacy in the Montessori Classroom: Aligning Reading Research and Practice (2023).
