Sip and Share with the Harborlight Inclusivity Committee
Tuesday, April 30, 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the Harborlight Library
Has your child or student ever asked a question about a person with a physical, learning or developmental disability and you weren’t quite sure how to answer? How do we teach our kids to talk about difference in an empathetic, respectful way? Please join us for a roundtable discussion about how to talk to children about disabilities, led by our own CH teacher Emily Caress-Wheelwright. We will share stories, books and other resources to help each other be able to approach this subject with confidence.
This is meant to be a casual, fun evening of discussion with parents and teachers of children at all age levels. Please bring your favorite snack and/or beverage, along with any of your favorite resources on the topic of disabilities. Middle School babysitters will be present to look after children age 3 and up, but please rsvp in advance so we have an accurate count. Please rsvp to Deb Thomas at .
